RECEIVED <br /> Supplemental Environmental Job Description for: DEC 08 2015 <br /> Terminal Operator Stockton Terminal ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> 3003 Navy Dr. PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Stockton, CA. 95206 <br /> Position Holder: Michael Reese <br /> Environmental Responsibilities: <br /> The Position of the Terminal Operator requires awareness in Oil, Hazardous Materials, and Hazardous <br /> Waste Spill Response; Hazardous Waste staging requirements, and monitoring of terminal Vapor Recovery <br /> and Tank Emission Controls. <br /> The Terminal Operator's responsibilities are required actions pertaining to Oil and Hazardous Material spill <br /> Response are described in the Oil Spill Response Plan (Contingency Plan) on file at the terminal. <br /> The Terminal Operator is responsible for recognizing oily materials that are regarded as possible or likely <br /> California hazardous waste, placing the hazardous waste in satellite accumulation drum(s) located at the <br /> warehouse and other appropriate locations, and verifying that the accumulation drums are in good working <br /> order and are not full. The satellite hazardous waste accumulation drum or drums are to be kept closed <br /> when not in use, and can accumulate spent oil absorbents, oily rags, and other miscellaneous oily debris. <br /> After this time, the Terminal Operator is required to notify the Terminal Supervisor or the Regional <br /> Supervisor of environmental Affairs so that the drum can be transferred to the designated hazardous waste <br /> storage area at the terminal. The Terminal Operator may be asked to assist the Terminal Manager or the <br /> Regional Supervisor of Environmental Affairs in completing appropriate labels and contacting disposal <br /> contractors for the accumulation drum. The Terminal Operator is responsible for not mixing incompatible <br /> wastes (such as spent acids — if ever generated) in the oily debris accumulation drum. The Terminal <br /> Operator also checks that the hazardous waste drum labels are legible and in clear view. <br /> At times of Above Ground Storage Tank maintenance, greater than 55 gallons of hazardous waste may be <br /> generated at one time. In these circumstances, the Terminal Operator is/will be assisting the Terminal <br /> Manager in working with contract Hazardous Waste disposal firms and consultants in completing <br /> manifests, working with the Regional Supervisor of Environmental Affairs in properly labeling drums, and <br /> conducting weekly drum inspections. <br /> Training&Education <br /> High School Degree or Equivalent <br /> 24 Hour One-Time Hazardous Waste Operator Certificate required <br /> 8 Hour Annual Hazardous Waste Refresher Training required <br /> Annual Tesoro Hazardous Waste Awareness Training (course overheads attached) <br />
