Based upon that contact, I would like to suggest that we have another meeting to discuss the situation and the status of your response to our previous discussion. Specifically, we would like to discuss the following: 1. We would like to specifically identify the location where sandblasting has occurred and to make arrangements for appropriate sampling at that location; 2. We would like to review your plans for storage of hazardous waste on site. It does not appear that storing hazardous waste on the ground and covering it with plastic is consistent with the Title 22 regulations. Hazardous waste needs to be stored in a properly labeled container with a closed lid; 3. We would urge you to enter into a Voluntary Cleanup Agreement with the Department of Toxic Substances Control to cover the resolution of the issues presented at this site. As I believe I indicated in our previous meeting, our county Environmental Health Department does not do project supervision and is not in a position to assist in determining compliance.
