Health & Safety Code (HSC) 25189.5(a)The disposal of any hazardous waste, or the <br /> causing thereof, is prohibited when the disposal is at a facility which does not have a permit <br /> from the department issued pursuant to this chapter, or at any point which is not authorized <br /> according to this chapter. <br /> Sandblasting of boat bottoms is currently occurring near a waterway. This waste is <br /> being spread onto the backside of this property. A sample of the sandblast waste was <br /> taken on October 7, 2003. Analytical testing determined this waste stream was <br /> hazardous for Copper. <br /> Immediately cease disposing of this waste stream to the ground. Immediately begin <br /> handling this waste stream as a hazardous waste. Cleanup of stockpiled waste must <br /> occur through the Department of Toxic Substance Control. <br /> You do not have a permit from this office as a hazardous waste generator.
