Valley indicated that the County Health
Department visited their facility earlier this year and that the Company received a list of
violations. Soon thereafter, Valley received the request for Legal Action from your
office without the opportunity to discuss and remedy the violations.
Valley indicated it had received violations in the past from the County Health
Department and addressed the issues with the assistance of the County Health
Department. However, during the review this year,Valley was not given the opportunity
to discuss the violations with the County Health Department but instead received the
letter regarding request for legal action from your office. At the initial meeting with your
office, Valley was advised to retain legal counsel for this ipue.
I request that Valley be given the opportunity to address all concerns of the County
Health Department without the threat of legal action. My understanding is that Valley
has an abatement action plan to address the violations that were cited during the most
recent visit and has begun implementation. Valley is ready to review their violation
abatement progress status with the County Health Department and your office.
