BioVir
ueoruow[s
DATE: March 24, 2004
TO: File
FROM: Rick Danielson, Ph.D.
Laboratory Director /Vice President
SUBJECT: B040485 A - E.
Notes to samples B040485A through B040485E processing:
1. 0.1 mg sample was added to 1 L particle free water for initial suspension.
2. Dilutions were prepared of the 0.1 g / L suspensions based upon the observed
turbidity of the suspended sample.
B040455A 1:1000
B040485B 1:1000
B040485C 1:100
B040485D 1:100
B040485E 1:1000
3. It was observed that the samples contained magnetic particles. The particle counting
instrument has a magnetic base. Although care was taken to minimize contact time to
about 1 minute, there may have been magnetically-induced migration to the bottom of
the assay vessel.
