Clay ton Grant Trigger Pa_e HOnlgman Miller Schwartz and Cohn Clayton Proposal No. 97SFOEMR'31 October 7, 1997 • USEPA Method 8260: Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) • USEPA Method 7000/6010: CAM 17 Metals Task 4: Project Manasement and Report Preparation Upon completion of the laboratory analysis, Clayton will prepare a report summarizing the findings of the investigative work. The report will include a description of the site, summary of previous environmental investigations, investigative methodologies, laboratory procedures, a tabulation of laboratory analytical results, figures delineating boring locations, laboratory analytical data sheets, and conclusions and recommendations. SCHEDULE Clayton is prepared to begin the above scope of work immediately upon receiving your authorization to proceed. Subjecr to your authonza ion and to Geoprobe availability, we field sampling activities within one to two weeks after expect to be able to complete receipt of the drilling permit. It is anticipated-Ihat it could take two to four weeks (or longer) to process the permit at SICEHD. A draft report to be completed within one week after receipt of analytical results. Clayton will provide verbal sample results to you immediately after receiving and reviewing the analytical data. FEES Clayton estimates project fees of to complete the full scope of work outlined above for up to 7 borings with one submitted soil sample for testing from each boring. Clavton's cost estimate is itemized in the attached Table 1. Fees for the project will be billed on a time and materials basis. Our cost estimate is based on hourly rates as shown in our Fee Schedule (Attachment 2), estimated subcontractor fees, and laboratory fees. Clayton will notify you immediately for your approval before proceeding with work exceeding the estimated costs. Clayton's standard terms and conditions are included in Attachment 3 for your review. Our estimated fee includes estimated material costs, out-of-pocket expenses (travel, lodging, food, incidentals) reasonably incurred in the performance of the work, charges of subcontractors retained by Clayton, and other direct costs, provided all such expenses are substantiated by reasonable and customary supporting documentation. Estimates of all out-of-pocket expenses, subcontractor charges, material costs, and other direct costs assume cost plus 15%. Laboratory fees, reproduction costs, equipment rental, mileage, and computer time will be billed at the specified rates, as appropriate. If Clayton's work is encumbered or stopped by your on site personnel, such as failure to arrange property access, you will be charged additional fees at the hourly rates shown on our Fee Schedule.
