The fees are apparently for regulation of the <br />underground storage tanks and cover the 1986-1987 period. <br />Georgia-Pacific has sent a check in the amount of $630.00 to the SJLHD <br />to cover the $56.00 per tank surcharge ($280.00) plus the entire 1986 <br />fee of $350.00. Stewart -Walker Co. should send a check for $350.00 for <br />the 1987 fee to the SJLHD. Georgia-Pacific would appreciate being <br />reimbursed for 5/12 of the 1986 fee for the portion of the year (August <br />- December) that plant ownership was Stewart -Walkers. For convenience, <br />the reimbursement may be addressed to my attention. <br />Please note that a 100% penalty will be assessed for payments received <br />after September 30, 1987. Although the letter is dated August 24, 1987, <br />it was not received by this office until September 10. We have attempted <br />to expedite action to avoid a potential penalty. <br />We are by separate letter notifying the San Joaquin Local Health District <br />that transfer of ownership of this plant and property to Stewart -Walker <br />Co. was effected on July 31, 1986 and all future correspondence should <br />be directed accordingly.
