Lodi, CA 95240 <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) is the San Joaquin County <br /> Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA). The EHD, as the CUPA, is responsible for <br /> implementing and enforcing the California Underground Storage Tank (UST) laws and <br /> regulation. <br /> Definition per Health and Safety Code (HSC) Chapter 6.7, Section25281(y)(1) "Underground <br /> storage tank" means any one or combination of tanks, including pipes connected thereto, that is <br /> used for the storage of hazardous substances and that is substantially or totally beneath the <br /> surface of the ground. <br /> During the routine hazardous waste inspection and aboveground storage tank inspection at this <br /> facility on 2-8-11, three USTs were observed in a concrete vault. <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the State Water Resources Control Board's Summary Table of <br /> Undergound Storage Tank Provisions of Assembly Bill 1674. <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the Underground Storage Tank Operating Permit Application — Facility <br /> Information (Form A) and Tank Information (Form B)forms. Complete and submit one Form A <br /> for the facility and a Form B for each of the three USTs by May 2, 2011. Notify us of your <br /> intentions on how you plan to bring these USTs into compliance. <br /> These USTs may be exempt from the annual UST permit requirement, the annual UST permit <br /> fees, and UST requirements as listed within California Health and Safety Code Chapter 6.7 <br /> And California Code of Regulations Title 23 Waters.
