If the location of underground utilities <br /> such as water , sewer , or electrical lines is still unclear , <br /> the contractor will obtain the service of a utility location <br /> company before beginning any excavation . An area for an <br /> excavated soil stockpile will be provided adjacent to the <br /> excavation. <br /> If a power line is discovered or damaged during the work : <br /> * Stop all activities . <br /> * Stop all engines and mechanical and electrical equipment . <br /> * Call U . S .
