In addition, the Company is determined <br /> to protect its employees , customers , and the general <br /> public while they are on Company property from any harm <br /> caused by illegal drug and alcohol use by non—P . G . & E . <br /> personnel . To accomplish these objectives , the Company <br /> has established the following drug and alcohol abuse <br /> policy far access to P . G . & E . facilities by its <br /> contractor and subcontractor personnel . <br /> 1 . 2 Coverage • <br /> 1 . 2 . 1 This policy applies to the personnel of all P . G . & E . <br /> contractors and subcontractors providing maintenance , <br /> construction , and related services at P .G . & E . facilities . <br /> P . G . & E . employees are covered by the Company ' s Drug <br /> Prevention Policy and the Company Standard Practice on <br /> employee conduct . <br /> 1 . 3 Policy : <br /> 1 . 3 . 1 P . G . & E . may deny access to , or remove from , its <br /> facilities the personnel of any contractor or <br /> subcontractor , who P . G . & E . has reasonable grounds to <br /> believe has : <br /> a . Engaged in alcohol abuse or illegal drug activity <br /> which in any way impairs the Company ' s ability to maintain <br /> safe work facilities , to protect the health and safe work <br /> facilities , to protect the health and well-being of <br /> Company employees , customers , and the general public , and <br /> to promote the public ' s confidence in Company service and <br /> operations ; or <br /> b . Been found guilty , pled guilty , or pled nolo <br /> contendere to a charge of sale or distribution of any <br /> illegal drug or controlled substance as defined under <br />
