Wilson Way, Stockton, CA
Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division has received your letter dated April
29, 1992, requesting a refund for underground storage tank fees paid in 1991 for two
underground storage tanks located in a vault.
In reviewing the regulations that were in effect at the time of your underground storage
tank fee payment, it was determined that you were responsible for those fees. The new
amendment to the California Underground Storage Tank Law exempting vaulted tanks
statewide did not take effect until January 1, 1992. This is confirmed in the enclosed State
Water Resources Control Board "LG - 120" document provided by the State Water
Resources Control Board.
