Some face shields pro-
vide better protection for the face than others for certain hazards.Employers shall be aware of the hazards their employees face
and provide them with the appropriate eye protection suited to the hazards they face.
3.1.1.2 Head Protection
OSHA(29 CFR 1910:135, 1926.100)requires the use of safety helmets(hard hats)to protect against injury to the head from fall-
ing objects or electrical hazards. Bump caps can also protect against injury in areas with restricted clearance. All hardhats shall
meet the requirements of ANSI 289.1.
