Main St. <br /> Stockton, CA 95205 <br /> STATEMENT: Ronald Dugdale, Inspector <br /> San Joaquin County Division of Weights and Measures <br /> On March 9, 1999 we received a phone complaint from Leticia Briggs of San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health concerning a fuel spill she witnessed at the Main Street Beacon <br /> located at 3440 F. Main Street in Stockton, California. The complaint indicated that consumers <br /> filling their tanks with fuel were being sprayed with fuel due to the nozzles not shutting off when <br /> the vehicle fuel tanks were full. She also indicated that the problem was not limited to one <br /> dispenser. <br /> March 18, 1999 San Joaquin County Weights and Measures conducted an investigation, <br /> checking each nozzle to determine the cause of the malfunction. During the course of the <br /> investigation it was determined that nine of the twenty-four nozzles at the location had inoperative <br /> primary shut off devices. The nozzles that were inoperative were pumps number,(1) 92 octane, <br /> (2) 89 and 92 octane, (4) 92 octane, (5) 89 octane, (6)87,89 and 92 octane, (8)89 octane. These <br /> devices were placed out of service and repaired by the owner who had replacement nozzles in <br /> stock A Notice of Violation was issued to the business for the following violations of the i <br /> Business and Professions Code Section and the California Code of Regulations: <br />
