PAGE TWO — TANK EXCAVATION REPORT <br /> DOCUMENTS THAT FROM 1940 UNTIL THE PRESENT, THIS SITE HAS BEEN UTILIZED <br /> ONLY AS RETAIL BUSINESSES. THE USE OF THIS SITE AS A GAS STATION IS PRE 1940, <br /> THE AREA IS CIRCA 1920'S FOR BUSINESS USE. THE BUILDINGS ON THE SITE ARE VERY <br /> OLD AND THE MAIN BUILDING SHOWS SUBSTANTIAL RENOVATION AND MODIFICATIONS. IT <br /> APPEARS THAT THE EASTERLY PORTION OF THE BUILDING MAY HAVE BEEN ADDED ON TO <br /> THE ORIGINAL STRUCTURE AND THIS MAY HAVE BEEN A TYPICAL CORNER GAS STATION. <br /> THE TANKS MAY BE UNDER THE CENTER OF THE EASTERLY PORTION OF THE EXISTING <br /> STRUCTURE. WE CANNOT PROVE WITH CERTAINTY THAT THE TANKS EXIST. WE HAVE ONLY <br /> EVIDENCE OF THE PRODUCT AND VENT LINES. EITHER A TESTING SERVICE WOULD HAVE <br /> TO BE UTILIZED OR THE BUILDING DEMOLISHED TO PROVE THE EXISTENCE OF THE TANKS, <br /> THE EXCAVATED AREA DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE STORE WAS CLOSED AND THE OWNER <br /> AUTHORIZED A LOAD OF ROCK BE SPREAD AS THERE IS ONLY SIX FEET BETWEEN THE <br /> WALK IN FRONT OF THE STORE AND THE FIRST LANE OF MAIN STREET. THE TRAFFIC <br /> CONTROL WAS SECURED AND THE CREW DEPARTED AT APPROXIMATELY 1430 HOURS. <br /> THE EVENTS AT THE SITE WERE REPORTED TO L.T. BRIGGS, SENIOR REGISTERED <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST WHO WAS THE INSPECTOR ASSIGNED TO THIS PROJECT. <br /> JIM HOBLITZELL MET HER AT THE SITE AT 1500 HOURS TO REVIEW THE WORK PROGRESS. <br /> THE APPOINTMENTS - FOR 3 FEBRUARY, 1994 TO REMOVE THE TANKS WERE THEN CANCELLED <br /> WITH Pts.
