Favilla, <br /> This letter is an explanation of tank tests performed at the above <br /> location in the year's 1987 and 1988. <br /> On February 13, 1987, a tank test was done on Knapp Ford's 1,000 <br /> gallon fuel tank. The tank's leak rate was higher than the amount <br /> allowed by state guidelines. <br /> We then uncovered the tank and found that a vapor pocket existed at <br /> the high end of the tank. The vapor pocket was relieved and the tank <br /> Nested within state guidelines on March 11, 1987. From our Observa- <br /> tion, we could find no evidence of any fuel leakage from thet k Or <br /> Dockelines. The failed tank test was a result of the vapor mer. The <br /> March 11, 1987 a calibration was performed on the pump <br /> meter met tolerance for a dispensing device. <br /> pn June 3, 1988 a tank test was performed on the same tank. During <br /> the two hour test period, the product loss was .33 gallons. The tank <br /> was excavated and a leaking elbow was <br /> on Aon thegust vent line. <br /> The is <br /> was repaired and a retest was performed <br /> tank tested within state guidelines. At no time during our test or <br /> subsequent work was more than 2 gallon of product lost. <br /> A calibration was performed on the fuel pump meter on June 3, 1988. <br /> The meter net tolerance for a dispensing device. <br />
