No <br /> dates of hire of employees have been indicated.The designated operator shall train facility employees for which he or <br /> she is responsible in the proper operation and maintenance of the UST system once every 12 months. The training <br /> shall include,but is not limited to: <br /> 1.Operation of the UST system in a manner consistent with the facility's best management practices <br /> 2. Employee's role with regard to monitoring equipment as specified in the facility's monitoring plan <br /> 3.Employee's role with regard to spills and overfills as specified in the facility's response plan <br /> 4. Name of the contact person(s)for emergencies and monitoring equipment alarms <br /> Ensure that employees have been trained by the designated operator,maintain the list on site,and submit a copy of <br /> the training records to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 306 CCR 2630(d)Monitoring equipment is not installed or maintained to detect a leak at the earliest opportunity. <br /> The 206 sensor in the 87 product submersible turbine pump was tilted greater than 45 degrees and was not located to <br /> detect a leak at the earliest opportunity. Monitoring equipment shall be maintained to be able to detect a leak at the <br /> earliest possible opportunity. The sensor was relocated to the lowest point of the sump by the service technician. <br /> Ensure that all monitoring equipment is maintained to detect a leak at the earliest opportunity. <br /> This was corrected on site. <br /> This is a repeat violation,Class II. <br /> 314 CCR 2631(a)Primary containment not tight(pre-Jul 2003). <br /> Dispensers 3-4,5-6 and 7-8 had leaks at the shear valve, indicating a leak in the primary piping. All primary <br /> containment for the UST system must be tight. Immediately have a properly licensed,trained,and certified contractor <br /> repair or replace the failed component under permit and inspection of the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 319 HSC 25291(e)Water in secondary containment not removed,analyzed,and properly disposed of(pre-Jul 2003). <br /> Approximately two cups of liquid were observed in the 87 product submersible turbine pump sump. If water could <br /> enter into the secondary containment by precipitation or infiltration, it must be removed and disposed of properly. The <br /> service technician removed two cups of liquid from the 87 product submersible turbine pump sump.
