In addition, past due underground storage tank permit fees have not been remitted to this office. <br /> California Health and Safety (CA H & S) Code, Section 25284(a), specifies "no person shall own or operate an <br /> underground storage tank unless a permit for its operation has been issued by the local agency to the owner." <br /> Additionally, CA H & S Code, Section 25287(a), states that "a fee shall be paid the local agency by each person <br /> who submits an application for a permit to operate an underground storage tank." <br /> In accordance with the CA H & S Code, all underground storage tank permit fees shall be remitted to this office <br /> by July 1, 1992, to expedite evaluation of your facility for permit issuance.
