These Bills require <br /> the inventory, inspection and permitting of all underground storage tanks that <br /> contain hazardous materials. The San .Joaquin Local. Health District, Division <br /> of Envi.ronmental Health was designated as tho enforcement agency for the <br /> cities and unincorporate.d areas within Sari Joaquin County, State law provides <br /> for a fee system to cover the cost of implementing this state mandated <br /> p rog ram. <br /> Local 'fees (see attached Pee Schedule), for these required inspectional <br /> services, will be billed on a yearly basis. The facilities Permit to Operate <br /> will. be issued for a five year period. In addition to the yearly <br /> inspectional fee, this statement will also include a 456/tank State surcharge <br /> ' fee.. The State surcharge fee per tank will. be, (-'harged every five years or <br /> whenever the facilities permit is renewed or amended, All State surcharge <br /> fees will be transmitted by the Health District to the C:al.iforni•_t Water <br /> Resources' Control. Board. <br /> To apply for a facilities Permit. to Operate, complete the attached Fee <br /> Worksheet and submit the appropriate fees. Fees are due and payable 30 days <br /> from date of this letter. <br /> In order to answer any questions regarding this Underground Storage Tank <br /> program, the San Joaquin Local.
