Currently the State Waterboard does not have an interpretation for what is required when it comes to an
aboveground under dispenser containment(UDC). If you would like the state to make an interpretation on how to
regulate aboveground UDCs you.may.request an interpretation of the law in writing in a letter to Laura Fisher, Chief, UST
leak Prevention Unit(address below). We would then consult our legal counsel for an interpretation of the statue and
regulations and how it applies to an aboveground UDC. These type of request are taken on a first come first served basis
and are subject to staffing resources meaning it would take a while for a response. I would encourage you to continue
to work with your local regulator to expedite your project.
Laura Fisher
State Water Resources Control Board
10011 Street
Sacramento,CA 95814
laura.fisher@waterboards.ca.Rov
3
