1 � <br /> 1 � <br /> FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> I. DRILLING OF SOIL SAMPLES <br /> 1 The following procedures were used for the sampling of soil at the site: <br /> 1. Soil samples were collected using a stainless steel trowel into a 2.0-inch diameter <br /> 1 stainless steel tube. Once the sample was collected, the ends of the sample tube <br /> were covered with Teflon sheets and capped with polyethylene end caps. The <br /> 1 } sample was labeled and placed in a chilled cooler pending delivery to the laboratory <br /> } for analysis. <br /> ^! 2. Soil samples were assigned identification numbers such as S-1, where S indicates the <br /> ,J sample as being collected from soil and -1 indicates that the numeric order of <br /> sampling. The sample was labeled with the sampling designation, date, client name, <br /> and project number. <br /> 1 3. Soil sampler was washed before and after soil sampling with Alconox soap followed <br /> by two deionized-water rinses. <br /> 1 4.
