Field measurements are required.
Thanks,
1R Beard, P.E.
Principal
LHB&Associates
867 Pacific Street, Suite 120
San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
C: (805)452-3664
0: (805)540-5240
F: (805) 540-5241
-----Original Message-----
From: Cesar Ruvalcaba [EH] [mailto:cruvalcaba@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Monday, December 04, 2017 3:28 PM
To:JR Beard<jrb@lhbassoc.com>
Subject: RE:SR0076222 comments
JR,
Elena was off today, she might have some more comments on the submitted plans. I can let you know what I found that
still needs correction so that you can start working on making the changes.
The calculations for the drop tubes on the 8,000 and 12,000 gallon tank are in disagreement with the values that we get
versus the values that are on the provided sheets. Please recalculate the"B"value, it appears the wrong column on the
tank chart was used for the two tanks. There are additional steps that need to be used when calculating the drop tube
measurements. I've included the 7150 Overfill Prevention Valve instructions for calculating it's position at the 95%tank
capacity. Follow the instructions provided for all three tanks.
The Buoyancy Calculations for the 20,000 gallon tank on page FS-3 seems to have an addition error in the total tank
uplift calculation. It is shown that 166,436 LBS+6,271 LBS= 176,486 LBS. We get over a 3,500 LB difference. Please
verify that math calculations are correct and that any changes are made to affected calculations.
1
