Main
Stockton, CA 95205
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has completed the
review of the application for a permit to locate and repair the leak in the 89-octane
product line of the Underground Storage Tank (UST) System at the above-referenced
facility. The permit approval is deficient in information required for approval.
Immediately submit the following information to EHD:
1. Detailed description of the proposed work. Currently Page 3 of the permit
application states "Test and locate the 89 product which has a small leak.
Contractor will locate leak and will determine the proper way to repair leak" with
no specifics or the equipment to be used for the repair. This information is
insufficient for EHD to approve the permit request.
2. List of all the equipment used on page 3 of permit application
3. Cut sheets of all the equipment to be installed. Please be aware that any
equipment that may affect the UST monitoring system must be third party
approved, or listed on State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) LG-113.
California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Chapter 16, section 2643(f) requires
UST leak detection equipment and methods to be evaluated by an independent
third-party testing organization.
4. A detailed diagram of what is to be repaired, and if concrete is to be broken, a
detailed map/diagram with all landmarks, buildings, proposed work and
equipment drawn to scale and labeled accordingly.
If you have any further questions, please contact me at (209) 468-0335.
Best Regards,
Jeff Wong, REHS v
Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist
Cc: Jean Hyun Lee, United Gas, 3440 E. Main St., Stockton, CA 95205
