This program is based on the new State Law (AB 2185) which <br /> is outlined in Chapter 6.95, Division 20, Section 25500 et seq. of the State <br /> Health and Safety Code. This law establishes spill and inventory reporting <br /> requirements, as well as the requirement to have a business emergency plan, for <br /> businesses which handle hazardous materials. <br /> This packet contains the following documents: <br /> 1 . Description of AB 2185 legal requirements for businesses <br /> 2. Exemption Statement <br /> 3. Trade Secret Statement <br /> 4. Business Emergency Plan with instructions (Short Form) <br /> 5. Business Emergency Plan with instructions (Long Form) <br /> 6 . Inventory Form <br /> If any documents are missing, contact the Office of Emergency Services at the <br /> number provided below. <br /> You should first examine the description of legal requirements and the <br /> Exemption Statement . If your business is in one of the exemption categories, <br /> then the Exemption Statement should be completed, signed, and returned to this <br /> office and the other documents disregarded. If your business is not exempted, <br /> then the Business Plan (Short Form) instructions should be read to determine if <br /> the business meets the criteria for using the Short Form. If your business <br /> does not meet the criteria for using the Short Form, then the Business <br /> Emergency Plan (Long Form) should be completed. All businesses should complete <br /> the inventory form and return it with one copy of its emergency plan to this <br /> k(i�F/ 1987. If your company desires to maintain trade secrets, <br /> office by 6yur <br /> then the Trade Secret Statement should be completed and returned. <br /> You should retain a copy of your business plan for use in an emergency, and for <br /> inspection by County representatives upon request.
