I've cut and pasted the previous a mail exchanges below in case you wanted to reference them,
otherwise here is the run down to get you up to speed:
The 8' diameter, 6,000 gallon Gear Oil tank at this facility has been damaging the annular space sensors during removal
and reinstallation. Upon further inspection, we discovered that this tank has a raised reservoir, so we've proposed
converting it from a dry to a wet annular space after discussion with first Randy Crownover, then Diane Reaves. But
Diane's last response indicated that only the "two tanks listed as 4'IM and 6'4M are in fact double walled tanks with
the capabilities of storing a monitoring solution. The other tanks listed are not capable", which is contrary to my
discussion with her & Randy.
So the regulator is seeking proof of the following:
Were the tanks affiliated with the attached Invoice/Order produced by Containment Solutions/Owens Corning?
Are all three (3) of the 8' diameter 6,000 gallon tanks on that original tank order capable of having brine filled into the
annular spaces, for use with a hydrostatic sensor, in lieu of a "wrap around" sensor?
The inspector also asked for the following: "I still need a statement from Containment Solutions that the tanks that were
installed in 1990 are still capable of holding brine after all of these years when the tanks did not contain brine".
Thanks in advance for your help! Please let me know if you have any questions about any of this.
Scott C........
Scott Corey
COVEY ENGINEERING, INC.
Covey Engineering, Inc
A Div of National Petroleum services
Main: 866 -706 -TANK (8265) Ext 4
Cell: 951-522-5110
Digi -Fax: 866-706-8265
AZ, AR, AL, CA, CO, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, MI, MO, MS, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OK, TX, UT, VA, WI +++
From: DHOCKENBERRY[mailto•dhockenber!y@csiproducts com]
Sent: Tuesday, May 02, 2017 12:58 PM
To: s.covevCa)vahoo.com
Subject: FW: YRC Freight -Tracy CA
Scott, what can I help you with ?
Where is the site located (full site address), how many tanks and what size tanks are they ?
