0 0 <br /> • Participated iri the construction of a leachate collection subdrain system <br /> and the installation of a new HDPE and clay liner for the expansion of <br /> Canyon "C" at the Lopez Canyon Landfill for the City of Los Angeles.,Los <br /> Angeles, CA. A 2-foot bentonite amended clay liner was installed, which <br /> resulted in considerable savings to the city. Twenty-eight change orders <br /> worth approximately $800,000. were issued to the contract.The final <br /> contract amount was $2.5 million dollars. Liquidated Damages were <br /> $10,000 a day and the project was completed ahead of schedule. <br /> • Participated in the construction of a 1500LF subsurface bentonite <br /> slurry cutoff wall 85-110 foot deep Puente Hills Landfill, Whitter, CA. <br /> The wall was installed to contain contaminated groundwater. The project <br /> also included drilling and installation and monitoring and extraction wells. <br /> • Managed a project at the U.S. Naval Shipyard, Long Beach, CA, which <br /> involved excavation & removal of 20 UST's. Work included pumping and <br /> cleaning of the tanks, waste identification and testing, waste profiling, <br /> manifesting, transportation and disposal/recycling of the waste liquid and <br /> the removal and destruction of the tanks and backfill of the open <br /> excavation site repaving, closure and closure report. <br /> • Managed a soil remediation project which involved excavation, fixation <br /> disposal of 24,000 tons of DROSS heavy metal soils. Site transportation <br /> disposal, and tests for remediated material to a Class I Landfill were also <br /> included. <br /> • Managed a project team responsible for furnishing and installing an <br /> operable unit treatment system that pumped and treated groundwater, <br /> which was contaminated with 800,000 Gallons of jet fuel. The system <br /> included oil water separators, injection and monitoring wells. <br /> • Managed the excavation and removal of hazardous heavy metals and <br /> acidic soils at a wetland area, and disposal to a Class I Landfill, for the <br /> Concord Naval Weapons Station, Concord, CA. The site was restored to <br /> its original condition. The final contract amount was $1 .2 million dollars. <br />
