Additional samples will
be collected at the direction of the COR.
A5.0 SAMPLING EQUIPMENT AND PROCEDURES
Soil samples from excavations will be collected by pushing a brass liner into the
backhoe bucket containing soil. The same sampling method will be used to collect
samples from the contaminated soil stockpiles. After sampling, the ends of the
brass liner will be covered with TeflorP sheets, capped with polyethylene lid,
labeled, and entered onto a chain-of-custody.
Groundwater in the tank excavation will be sampled using disposable bailers. A
new bailer will be used for each sample. Groundwater samples will be placed in
appropriate containers provided by the laboratory.
All glass containers and brass liners will be labeled individually and sealed with
evidence tape. Decontamination procedures will be referenced from the GMP,
Section C Chemical Data Quality Control Plan, page C6-8, C6.1.5
Decontamination of Drilling and Sampling Equipment.
