VEEDER -ROOT
IN-STATION DIAGNOSTICS OM
VEEDER-ROOT
TLS-350
A S a l
Vapor Pressure Sensor
Vapor
Flow Meter
--
EFFECTIVE VAPOR RECOVERY MONITORING;
THE KEY TO REMAINING IN COMPLIANCE.
Veeder-Root's California Air Resources Board
(GARB) certified In-Station Diagnostics (ISD)
equipment is designed to monitor the
collection and containment of vapors by
vapor recovery equipment. Veeder-Root's
ISD is a proven vapor recovery monitoring
system, with over 1,500 sites installed
throughout California.
Adding to the existing Veeder-Root TLS-350
platform, probes, and Dispenser Interface
Module (DIM) cards, the ISD equipment
continuously monitors the vapor recovery
equipment, maintains test records, provides
test reports, and generates warnings or
alarms following equipment failures.
A Preferred Balance ISD Solution.
Veeder-Root is the first to introduce a balance
ISD solution. Compared to assist vapor
monitoring, balance vapor monitoring has
simpler nozzle alarm requirements.
PRODUCT COMPONENTS:
4> Vapor Flow Meter — Measures the
volume of vapors collected during
vehicle refueling
Vapor Pressure Sensor — Measures
containment tank pressures for leakage
and overpressure conditions for vapor
containment monitoring
ISD Software Enhancement Module
— Activates ISD software technology
4> NVMEM 2 Board — Provides memory
expansion necessary for ISD report
storage
BENEFITS OF THE VEEDER-ROOT ISD SYSTEM: In September 2009, ISD will be required
for all sites in California with an annual
throughput of over 1.8 million gallons. In
September 2010, ISD will be required for
those sites with an annual throughput of
over 600,000 gallons. The Veeder-Root
ISD system will keep station owners in
compliance with these new regulations.
MEETS COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS:
4> CARB certified to meet Enhanced Vapor
Recovery (EVR) and In-Station
Diagnostics (ISD) requirements
Archives the reports required to meet
California regulations
COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION:
4> Leverages existing TLS-350 equipment —
can be added to any TLS-350 console
=5' Interfaces to the existing Smart
Sensor Interface Module
(7 or 8 input version)
4> Alarms when there is a vapor collection
problem on a hose or when vapor space
is leaking
4> Continuously monitors vapor recovery
systems and alarms when systems'
performance drops below required
compliance level
4> Reduces emissions related to failed or
degrading equipment
VEEDER- ROOT
4> Sensors can share wiring conduit with
other intrinsically safe (IS) wiring
45' Simple installation, compatible with
all dispensers
eVRgreerl
PAGE 121
