MONITORING
REPORTING
LODI SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY 016-0822
30 V CTOR ROAD, ON 7 2016
Table 1: Sampling Frequency
Wells Semi-Annuall Annual)
-8, MW-9R, -10, MW-11,W MMW-3, MW-6R, MW-7, M , ,
MW-13 MW-12, MW-14, MW-1D
All wells will be monitored quarterly for water levels and the presence or thickness of free product.
I Wells will be sampled semi-annually during the first and third quarters.
3 Wells will be sampled annually during the third quarter.
2. The Dischargers shall analyze samples according to standard Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA) protocol using the methods shown in Table 2.
3. Monitoring wells with free product or a visible sheen (if applicable) shall be monitored at a
minimum for product thickness and depth to water.
Table 2: Sampling Methods
Constituent Analytical Method Maximum Detection Limit
Depth to Water Field Readings --
Total Petroleum 8015M 50 pg/L
Hydrocarbons as Diesel2
Total Petroleum 8015M 50 pg/L
Hydrocarbons as Gasoline
Benzene 82060B 0.5 /L
Toluene 8260B 0.5 /L
Eth (benzene 82608 0.5 /L
X lenes 8260B 0.5 /L
MTBE 8260B 0.5 /L
TBA 8260B 10 /L
DIPE 8260B 0.5 /L
TAME 82606 0.5 /L
ETBE3 8260B 0.5 /L
Methanol 8260B 100 /L
Ethanol 4 8260B 50 /L
Volatile Organic ComFoundir 8260B 0.5 /L
'It the maximum practical quantitation limit is exceeded for a non-detectable result, the Discharger shall
provide an explanation in the report text. All concentrations between the Method Detection Limit and the
Practical Quantitation Limit shall be reported as trace.
2Only MW-61R, MW-8, MW-9R will be sampled for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel.
3Fuel oxygenates including MTBE, TBA, TAME, DIPE, ETBE, ethanol, and methanol shall be analyzed in all
monitoring wells during two monitoring events in the first and third quarters. If results are nondetectable for
both sampling events, no further monitoring for those constituents is required in that well. If a fuel
oxygenate is detected, it shall be added to the monitoring program for the well in which it was detected.
Monitoring wells for which fuel oxygenates requirements have already been met under previous MRP
requirements do not need to be resampled for these analytes under this MRP.
4 I volatile organic compounds (VOCs)are detected in a fuel oxygenate chromatograph, VOCs shall be
added to the monitoring program for the well in which it was detected.
