ARCO 9600 - EVR Upgrades . If concrete is broken near product lines or the tanks we will require tank and/or
line integrity testing.
We also will require a "cold start" inspection if the alarm history is erased during construction. If the alarm history
is not erased we still need a permit application and will inspect the site to verify that the alarm history is intact.
The cold start inspection is a monitoring certification without spill bucket testing or mechanical line leak detector
testing. Electronic line leak detectors will be tested since they are connected to the monitoring panel.
The permit application to our department will include three sets of plans and application forms. Include cut sheets
and UL listings for parts used. Application fees will be for three hours of time prepaid (currently$294, may go up
after July 1). Additional time will be charged at our hourly rate.
The cold start must be done by a technician with ICC service tech certification along with the relevant
manufacturer training carts. The air district may require other ICC certifications.
Be sure to apply for permits with the local fire district and planning department.
Thx,
Garrett Backus, REHS
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
600 E. We are considering the
VST system for this site for various reasons (balance system, Tokheim dispensers, etc.). As part of the
installation of the VST system, we will have to penetrate the UDCs(Bravo boxes).
I was wondering if penetrating these Bravo boxes would cause any concerns with San Joaquin EHD. The
penetrations would be patched per the manufacturer's specifications and tested upon completion.
Please let me know if we can proceed forward with submitting our applications for the VST system.
4/24/2008
