Plus, reconciliation and adjusted delivery reports
can spot sudden losses and short bulk deliveries
to eliminate these sources of revenue loss,
improving your profitability.
Prime Error Sources are Eliminated
for Greater Accuracy
New and enhanced features in the TLS -350R make
Automatic Business Inventory Reconciliation far
more accurate than manual methods. Errors and
inaccuracies of manual reconciliation, like tank
sticking, reconciling data, and hand calculations,
are eliminated. Meter readings, deliveries, and daily
inventory measurements are gathered automati-
cally by the TLS -350R.
AccuChartTm Automatic Tank Calibration
Another source of errors that plagues manual
inventory reconciliation is an inaccurate tank chart.
The TLS -350R reduces this error source signifi-
cantly using AccuChartTM, Veeder-Root's patented
tank calibration algorithm. By comparing metered
dispensed volumes with the calculated tank dis-
pensed volumes, AccuChart minimizes errors due
to tank dynamics, such as tank tilt, deflection and
end shape, to create an optimal tank chart for each
tank in the system.
The automatic calibration process is conducted
through the typical operating levels in the tank as
fuel is dispensed. Once enough valid data has been
analyzed, the tank recalibration is complete. The
calibration process typically takes one month.
An updated tank chart can be retrieved from the
TLS -350R through an RS -232 interface using a
computer. The chart will show volumes at 1" inter-
vals throughout the height of the tank.
Automatic Tank -To -Meter Mapping
To correlate metered sales from a hose to the
correct tank and product, it is essential to estab-
lish the relationship of meters to tanks. In other
words, from what tank does the fuel come that
passes through each meter? This correlation is
called a tank -to -meter map.
When a meter is incorrectly assigned to a tank,
the product being dispensed through that meter
is reconciled against the wrong product. As a
result, the reconciliation for two products at the
site will never be accurate until the error is cor-
rected. The TLS -350R system will automatically
assign each product hose to the correct tank,
eliminating this unnecessary problem.
When dispensing begins, the TLS -350R recog-
nizes a reduction in in -tank inventory and is
alerted through a Dispenser Interface Module
(DIM) that a specific meter is running. When
the metered volume data equals an inventory
reduction, the mapping feature matches that
meter and tank.
At a typical retail site, the tank -to -meter mapping
should be complete in two days or less.
Choice of reports — from the TLS -350R
or remote printer
The TLS -350R is available with an integral
printer, or it can be interfaced with a remote
printer. The system can be programmed to print
reconciliation reports at the end of a shift, day
or period.
Periodic reports are programmable to cover up to
a 35 -day cycle. They can be set to monthly or to
a specific duration in days. Periodic reports also
show the calculated variance threshold.
Reports can be sent to a remote printer to
enhance the reporting capability of the TLS -350R
by adding even more reconciliation detail. Recon-
ciliation reports from the remote printer can be
programmed to print in either column (summary)
or row (line item) formats.
0
•
40
