The results <br /> will be interpreted by the Site Safety Officer together with the Health and Safety Manager. <br /> Monitoring is designed to assess exposure to employees during site activities and to determine if <br /> Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and/or adequate to assure protection. Because <br /> investigation and remediation activities at hazardous waste sites are of an inconsistent nature, it <br /> is not possible to assign a practicing monitoring protocol which excludes or is not directly <br /> dependent upon professional judgment to determine when monitoring is required to assess <br /> exposure. <br /> • Thus, the following generic protocol must be followed at a minimum and should be modified to <br /> \\SERVERI\C-DRIVE\PROJECTS\3272\Plans and Reports\Site Safety Health Plan.doc February 10,1998 <br />
