No. 658/Our Job No. 10050 <br /> Dear Kasey: <br /> On behalf of our client, Costco Wholesale, Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc. is submitting two <br /> (2)applications; one (1) for the Installation of the Fuel Additive tank and equipment and one (1) for the <br /> retrofitting of the existing gasoline storage tanks to accommodate the Fuel Additive Tank. <br /> The project includes the installation of a 1,500-gallon automated underground fuel additive storage tank <br /> system, which includes minor excavation for the piping, access to the existing underground storage tank <br /> sumps, and access to spare conduits. For work associated with the installation, the estimated project <br /> valuation is$135,000. <br /> The fuel additive stored in the underground storage tank, LUBRIZOL®9888, is a Class I flammable liquid <br /> and will be mixed with the gasoline in the existing underground storage tanks. The U.S. Environmental <br /> Protection Agency (EPA) requires use of deposit control additives, such as LUBRIZOL® 9888, in all <br /> gasoline to keep engines clean for reduced emissions. LUBRIZOL® 9888 meets all the EPA <br /> requirements for deposit control additives. <br /> Costco Wholesale has tentatively selected Jones Covey Group, Inc. as the General Contractor for the <br /> overall program. A final contractor selection process for this specific site cannot be initiated until we <br /> receive direction from your office as to the plan comments and/or corrections. Therefore, Costco <br /> Wholesale would like to proceed with the submittals without the final bid award until we have received <br /> comments and have the installation plans detailed according to your specifications. <br /> Enclosed are the following items for your review and approval: <br /> 1.
