PUBLIC H ALTH SERVICtS aIN
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION
Karen Furst, M.D., M.P.H., Health Officer
304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor • Stockton, CA 95202
209/465-3420 October 21, 1997copy
Dalwinder Dhoot
15600 Haran Road
Lathrop, CA 95330
RE : Proposed Removal and construction of an underground storage
tank system located at 15600 S . Harlan Road Lathrop, CA.
Removal :
1 . The removal plan lacks site safety plan.
2 . The sample analysis must follow leaded fuels criteria.
3 . The site is in an area of high ground water. The plan must
include provisions to handle contaminated water.
Installation Plan:
1 . Due to the high ground water the plan must address a wet
hole installation.
2 . The plan lacks information on the type of probes that are
to be used in conjunction with the Gilbarco EMC unit .
3 . The plan does not indicate that probes will be installed in
the dispenser pans. This Department requires probes in all
dispenser pans that are greater than 11 inches in depth.
4 . The flexible piping that is indicated in the cutsheets does
not appear to have UL listing. Provide proof of UL
listing or declare approved type of piping.
5 . The plan indicates that a Vaporless leak detector will be
used. The cutsheets indicate that a Redjacket leak
detector will be used. These are in conflict . Declare
leak detector type and model number.
Karen Furst, M.D. , M.P.H.
Health Officers (
Robert McClellon, Sr. R.E.H.S .
Environmental Health Division
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
