ITTIntegrity Tank Testing Systems, Inc.
September 24 , 1986
Mr . Mike Warner
Department of General Services
OFFICE OF THE STATE ARCHITECT
1500 Fifth Street 9 r sr ` `/ ✓"✓
Sacramento, CA 95814 Ste" ! , /✓
Dear Mr . Warner:
Please note the attached, sketch and comments regarding
the four 12 ,000 gallon A6 bunker fuel tanks at DVI .
Due to the opportunities that exist with these four
tanks , we question the feasibility of performing proper
precision tank tests .
If it is your desire to have the tests performed , the
material will have to be brought to a liquid condition not
to exceed 1100 F . The manways , If they exist, would have
to be exposed and made ventable . The drop fill tubes would
need confirmation that it stops at the tank top . Valving
would have to be free so that positive closure can be made .
Due to the criteria Involved , we suggest that one tank
at a time be done so that ground temperature bleed does not
come into play during the testing .
Please advise your desires .
Sincerely,
W.
