PRECISION ENVIRONMENTAL SITE RECOMMENDATIONS
DUEL VOCATIONAL INST.
23500 FASSON RD.
TRACY,CA
AGENCIES
A copy of this report has been sent to the following agencies.
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PO BOX 2009, 1601 E. HAZELTON
STOCKTON, CA 95201
We recommend that these tanks be monitored daily using inventory
reconciliation and the pump meters should also be calibrated at least annually.
The contamination around the fillpipe needs to be removed and properly
disposed of. Tank #R -DVI -06 needs to have the product line and pump leaks
repaired. Once repairs on this tank have been made, this tank should be
rescheduled for a retest. The Diesel fuel tank system will need to be updated
by January 1, 1993 to include intank monitoring systems capable of detecting
leaks of. lgph in any given thirty days. We suggest the Veeder-Root TLS 350
tank monitoring system for this purpose. By December 22, 1998 these tanks
will either have to be removed or upgraded. The upgrades will include: steel
analysis, interior tank lining, exterior cathodic protection (testable),
overfill/overspill protection devices, and secondary containment for all
pressurized piping.
Please contact our office if you have any questions regarding these
recommendations. You may reach me at (408) 992-0603.
