PHSIEHD observed the removal of UGT <br /> associated piping at the aboved referenced site on October 1, 1997. Soil samples taken l <br /> beneath the UGT were non detect for contaminants. <br /> Diesel contamination of up to 5,800 parts per million (ppm), Xylene and Toluene <br /> contaminants at .98 ppm and .038 ppm respectively were evidenced in soil removed from <br /> the UGT pit. Diesel and motor oil contamination was evidenced from the soil removed <br /> from the piping run at up to 3,800 ppm. The contaminated soil was returned to the UGT <br /> and piping pits. <br /> Submit a closure!'report that includes calculations for the mass of contaminants remaining . <br /> at this site since contaminated soil was returned to the UST and piping excavations. <br /> After review of the closure report PHSIEHD will comment or request closure <br /> concurrence from the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board. <br /> Contact Carol Oz, Senior REHS, if you have questions concerning this letter at(209)468- <br /> 3440. <br /> Donna Heran, REHS, Director <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> r <br /> Carol Oz.
