The complete Return to Compliance paperwork for the December 21, 2011 inspection was not <br /> submitted. A deficiency letter was issued on July 23, 2012. The operator of the site or facility which <br /> receives an inspection report shall submit a written response to the department or the local officer or <br /> agency within 60 days of receipt of the inspection report, or with a shorter time as the department or <br /> local agency requires. This response shall include a statement documenting the corrective actions that <br /> have been or will be taken by the operator. Immediately submit all necessary follow up paperwork for <br /> the 2011 hazardous waste generator inspection to the EHD. <br /> 605. A 55 gallon blue steel drum of waste liquids was observed in the hazardous waste storage area <br /> with faded, illegible hazardous waste labels. A 55 gallon black steel drum of waste liquids was observed <br /> in the hazardous waste storage area without labeling. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked <br /> with the following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste" 4. physical state (liquid, solid) <br /> 2. name and address of generator 5. composition (contents) <br /> 3. hazardous properties (flammable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) 6. accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all <br /> the required information. Since it cannot be determined how long the black drum has been on site, <br /> immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and <br /> submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by May 1, 2013. <br /> REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> 701. The 55 gallon blue steel drum of waste liquids on site was observed during the December 21, 2011 <br /> inspection. Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed <br /> 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days.
