Feasibility Study Workplan, Former PureGro Stockton Facility, 1905 North Broadway <br /> Avenue, Stockton, California,Sierra-Pacific Project No. 94-055.05 <br /> Dear Ms. Terrell: <br /> On behalf of Unocal Corporation, Sierra-Pacific Group is pleased to submit the enclosed Feasibility Study <br /> Workplan for the former PureGro Stockton Facility.A feasibility study will be performed for determination <br /> of the optimal remediation alternatives for soil and ground water impacted by volatile organic compounds, <br /> pesticides, herbicides, fumigants, and inorganic compounds at, and in the vicinity of, the former PureGro <br /> Stockton facility. Based upon a comparative technological and economic analysis of various remediation <br /> methods, an evaluation of which method or combination of methods will be best for achieving established <br /> cleanup criteria for soil and ground water will be completed. Conclusions based upon this evaluation will <br /> be presented in the feasibility study report. <br /> Upon regulatory approval of the feasibility study,and based upon the conclusions reached in the feasibility <br /> study,a remedial action workplan(RAW)will be prepared,including the design of pilot-scale remediation <br /> system(s)as indicated. Upon regulatory approval of the RAW remediation activities at the site and vicinity <br /> will commence. <br /> Unocal desires to meet with you to discuss this workplan, once you have had an opportunity to review it. <br /> The purpose of the meeting is to ensure that the scope of work is acceptable to the Regional Board before <br /> proceeding with the study.
