The results are 64.2 parts per million (ppm) and 66.1 ppm collected on <br /> October 2nd and 5`", 2012, respectively. The average of these results is 65.2 ppm which <br /> exceeds the MCL of 45 ppm established for Nitrates in accordance with the California Code of <br /> Regulations (CCR), Title 22, Section 64431 (a). The Jimco Truck Plaza Water System has <br /> exceeded the MCL for nitrates and is in violation of Title 22 CCR, Section 64431 (a). The EHD <br /> directs that the Jimco Truck Plaza Water System to do the following: <br /> 1. Provide/Use approved bottled or bulk drinking water for food preparation and for <br /> residential, employee, and customer drinking purposes. Provide receipts of the <br /> purchased water to EHD every quarter. <br /> 2. Conduct public notification immediately as required by CCR, Title 22, Section <br /> 64464.3 (a)(1)(b)(2) for exceeding the MCL for nitrates. The public notification with the <br /> required health language has been enclosed for the operator of the water system to post <br /> once the operator has signed and dated the document. The notification shall be posted <br /> according to the California Health and Safety Code, Section 116450 by continual posting <br /> for as long as the MCL violation exists in areas of water usage, such as at each <br /> bathroom, kitchen sink, and drinking faucet. Provide EHD a copy of the signed Public <br /> Notification by November 1 2012 as evidence that the Jimco Truck Plaza Water <br /> System has complied with the required public notification. <br /> 3. Submit to EHD a Compliance Agreement Plan to provide water that meets CCR, Title <br /> 22 requirements by January 11, 2012, of one of the following options: <br /> a. Pursue a connection to a permitted water source that meets the Transient Non- <br /> Community water quality standards, such as California Water Company or the <br /> City of Stockton Water Utilities. If this option is chosen then submit the name of <br /> the water system to this Department and a tentative date when this will be <br /> accomplished. <br />
