Manteca Program: HW <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> 703. At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented) that <br /> employees who handle hazardous waste were properly trained. Mr. Vikram stated that the training will <br /> definitely be provided today. The generator must ensure that all employees who handle hazardous <br /> waste are thoroughly familiar with proper waste handling and emergency procedures. Immediately <br /> provide training to all employees who handle hazardous waste and submit a copy of the training records <br /> to the EHD by July 6, 2014. <br /> NOTE 1: One empty 55-gallon steel container with an unfilled hazardous waste label was observed <br /> within a fenced area located behind the convenience store. Mr. Vikram stated that it is a new drum and <br /> that the label must have been placed on this drum upon delivery. Containers larger than five gallons <br /> that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they were emptied and <br /> managed within one year of being emptied. The hazardous waste label was removed from this drum at <br /> the time of inspection. Discussed empty container management practices. <br /> NOTE 2: One 55-gallon steel drum containing liquid hazardous waste was observed inside the fenced <br /> area, located behind the convenience store, with an accumulation start date of 2-28-2014, discussed <br /> (with Mr. Vikram) hazardous waste onsite storage, disposal, and disposal documentation requirements. <br /> Provided: <br /> - Modified Contingency Plan template <br /> - Schedule of FREE classes <br /> - Return to Compliance Certification form <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOiI NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT NY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Inspector: Received By.
