FRANK ' S ONE STOP FOOD MARTS UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK MONITORING PROGRAM STORE # 2 Tank monitoring is accomplished with the VEEDER ROOT TLS 250i and RED JACKET line leak detectors . This combination provides continuous monitoring of the storage tanks and the pr•essur,ized piping . Inventory reconciliation is also done to insure the accuracy of the tank measurements . The TLS 2501 is mounted in the storage area behind the counter, and all equipment was installed by a manufacturer, author•i zed r-epr•esentati ve . The TLS 250i is equipped with interstitial sensors and a trench sump sensor . Each tank is equipped with a probe for, liquid volume measurement , All piping is laid in trenches which drain back to the monitored sump . In the event of a detected leak the pumping system is disabled . Everyday an i nventor•y printout is taken by the employee on duty and is r•econci l ed by office staff to verify the accuracy of the system . If discrepancies ar•e found they ar•e immediately investigated by •_john Guinta . If •John is not available or• qualified for, the job Shaw ' s Maintenance wi 1 1 be brought in to handle the situation . Each month John Guinta will open all dispensers and check for, leaks , all sumps ar•e opened , and leak detectors are checked for• leaking parts . Checking of the TLS 2501 is done by depressing the Al ar•m Reset button , if lights of active sensors light system is OK . In addition , every two weeks the sump sensor, is removed and tested in water, for• proper, activation by John Guinta . John Guinta is r•esponsi bl e for• maintaining moni tori ng system. Any problems beyond the scope of his knowledge are addressed by Shaw ' s Maintenance of Tur,1ock . The manufacturer• does not r,equi r,e regular maintenance to the system. Each month as these devices ar•e checked the results will be r,ecor•ded by equipment type . All r,ecor•ds wi 1 1 be kept at the main office at 2072 West Yosemite Manteca , Cal i for,ni a and copies wi 1 1 be available on site , Inspection r,epor•ts will be kept showing the r,esul is of the inspection for, each dispenser, group , sump holes , leak detectors , and sump sensor, test . The only training required to operate the TLS 250i is : when the light and\or, buzzer• sound the attendant on duty needs to contact John Guinta .
