Approximately six 1 gallon and one half gallon assorted paint cans are found stored on the bottom shelf of the car wash storage room. It is unclear if the contents in the paint cans are still usable and unclear how long they have been stored at the site. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately determine if the contents are still usable, make a hazardous waste determination for any unusable paints, and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. 808 & 809. An antique cash register, three printers, two fax/copier/phone/printer equipment and microwave were observed on the bottom shelf of the car wash storage room unlabeled/ unidentified. It is unclear how long the electronic waste has been stored on site. A generator shall label or mark universal waste with the words 'Universal Waste' and the type of waste (batteries, mercury containing equipment, lamps/bulbs, electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass, aerosol cans). A generator of universal waste (batteries, mercury containing equipment, lamps/bulbs, electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass, aerosol cans) shall accumulate universal waste for no longer than one year from the date the waste was generated. For future universal waste electronic devices, label the wastes and ensure that all universal wastes are labeled with the required information. Since it is unclear how long these electronic waste have been stored on site, immediately dispose of this waste as universal waste and submit a copy of the disposal record to EHD. ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE.
