Failed to determine if waste is a hazardous waste. Approximately six 1 gallon and one half gallon <br /> assorted paint cans are found stored on the bottom shelf of the car wash storage room. It is unclear if the <br /> contents in the paint cans are still usable and unclear how long they have been stored at the site. Any <br /> person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately determine <br /> if the contents are still usable, make a hazardous waste determination for any unusable paints, and <br /> manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting <br /> documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> 808 & 809. An antique cash register, three printers, two fax/copier/phone/printer equipment and <br /> microwave were observed on the bottom shelf of the car wash storage room unlabeled/ unidentified. It is <br /> unclear how long the electronic waste has been stored on site. A generator shall label or mark universal <br /> waste with the words 'Universal Waste' and the type of waste (batteries, mercury containing equipment, <br /> lamps/bulbs, electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass, aerosol cans). A generator of universal waste <br /> (batteries, mercury containing equipment, lamps/bulbs, electronic devices, CRTs, CRT glass, aerosol <br /> cans) shall accumulate universal waste for no longer than one year from the date the waste was <br /> generated. For future universal waste electronic devices, label the wastes and ensure that all universal <br /> wastes are labeled with the required information. Since it is unclear how long these electronic waste have <br /> been stored on site, immediately dispose of this waste as universal waste and submit a copy of the <br /> disposal record to EHD. <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE <br /> Inspector Received Bye Title. <br /> EHD 22-02 Rev 04/19/12 Page 4 HW INSPECTION REPORT <br />
