r rr
Addendum to Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report
and Remediation Status Report dated August 21,1995
Moore Petroleum, 1399 E Yosemrte Ave,Manteca,CA
September 15,1995
Page 3
The carbon adsorption system was morally configured to extract vapors from MW-1B Vapor
samples were collected from the system influent and effluent on July 5, 1995 to demonstrate
compliance with SJVUAPCD Permit The vapor samples were submitted, under chain-of-
custody, to Sparger Technology, Inc , of Sacramento, Cahforma, a state-certified analytical
laboratory The samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons, as gasoline(TPHg),
and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes(BTEX) Both the influent and effluent vapor
samples reported below detection limits for TPHg and BTEX
On July 18, 1995 the horizontal piping was configured into the vapor extraction system such that
vapors were bemg extracted from both the horizontal piping and MW-1B On July 25, 1995
vapor samples were collected for analysis from MW-1B and also from the horizontal piping
Both samples indicated below laboratory detection limits for TPHg and BTEX Upon receiving
the analytical results from the sampling event which occurred on Jul , 1995, the carbon
adsorption system was turned off on1 1995 At this time, the vapor extraction system was
pulsed on periodically and monitored with a flame ionization detector(FID)in an attempt to
remove any remammg hydrocarbons in the sods
. Analytical results and chain-of-custody forms from both of these sampling events are included as
Attachment 3 To date, the combination of both vapor extraction systems have extracted a total
of 11 pounds of TPHg and 0 098 pounds of benzene since December 6, 1994 A summary of
mass extraction rates based on laboratory analytical results are included m Table 3
TAffiEI SChEM 4W(WMAM E13RACIIa RAM BAM Cf4 iABaRATC tYANA=CALRE=
DAM F7Dw .aNALYUCALRESMTS EKMAMONRAM CUMUL4MVE
RAM U > Tft B== Uft Bye NOUS
(tel (U) (UA (b!day) (b/w?
