Section 3. Storage Tank Details
3.1 Table 3-1 Oil Storage Containers and Capacities
This table includes a complete list of all oil storage containers (aboveground containers) with
capacity of 55 U.S. gallons or more, unless otherwise exempt from the rule. For
mobile/portable containers, an estimate number of containers, types of oil, and anticipated
capacities are provided. Table 3-1 presents expected volume, discharge rate, general direction
of flow in the event of equipment failure, and means of secondary containment for different
parts of the facility where oil is stored, used, or handled.
Table 3-1 Oil Storage Containers & Capacities
Berm ntant JMllllllllllllllllltlon
Fixed Storage
Yes 1 gallons Diesel Fuel Aboveground tank
Yes 2 gallons Diesel Fuel Aboveground tank
Yes 3 gallons Diesel Fuel Aboveground vertical tank
Yes 4 gallons Diesel Fuel Aboveground vertical tank
Underground storage
none n/a gallons Unleaded Regular Double-Wall Multi-compartment
Gasoline-Premium UST UL Std. 1746/UL Std. 1316
Gasoline
UST storage is exempt from SPCC plan guidelines but is included as a reference
Total Aboveground Petroleum Storage Capacity gallons
Total Completely Buried Storage Capacity _gallons'
Facility Total Oil Storage Capacity_gallons
a Aboveground storage containers that must be included when calculating total facility oil storage capacity
include:tanks and mobile or portable containers;oil-filled operational equipment(e.g.transformers);other oil-filled
equipment,such as flow-through process equipment.
