I'll get back to you when I get some more
opinions. Laura
From: Garrett T. We need some
clarification on which tires are used tires vs. waste tires. They had the following number of tires at the site:
2800 cars `3 tire stands per car= 8400 tire stands in use holding up cars. Photo 102_0260 shows a car held up
with stands.
A tire stand consists of a wheel welded to a mounted mini-spare tire.
250 extra tire stands not being currently used to hold up cars. Photo 104_0422.
1000 mini-spare tires stored onsite. Operator says these tires will be welded to wheels and used as tire - stands
in the future.
Photo 104_0421.
Would these tires be considered used tires? They are not for sale but are part of their operation.
«102 0260.JPG>> «104 0421.JPG>> «104 0422.JPG>>
Thx,
Garrett Backus
Registered Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Dept.
gbackus@sjcehd.com
voice: (209) 468-2986
fax: (209) 468-8392
11/16/2005
