Dispenser Wiring DisconnectTM Solution
The Problem
While sites may have an emergency stop
button, the emergency stop system that it
controls does not meet the current safety
requirements defined irbthe National
Electrical Code® (NEC ).
Non-compliance with
NEC R 514.11 and 514.13
can agate fire, ignition.
and safety hazards at
petroleum dispensing
stations during emergency
situations and during
maintenance of fueling
sers.
The Solution
Power Integrity's Dispenser Wiring Disconnect T"1
Typical Installation
The Dispenser Wiring DisconnectTm has
been designed to be installed inline with
dispenser data wiring and adjacent to the
site controls.
The system provides individual service
disconnect switches. Each switch
disconnects both the corresponding
dispenser data and credit card data
circuits.
When used in conjunction with a Power
Integrity AC power system such as the
PetroXSTM (PXS) or Petro Power
Solution TM (PPS), all equipment
requirements for installing the petroleum
dispensing system have been addressed
making it a simple task for the installer to
meet the necessary code requirements.
Conductors of the low voltage circuits are not
disconnected by the emergency stop operator.
The conductors of all circuits including low
voltage, intercom and data circuits are to be
disconnected simultaneously from the
source of supply (514.11)
Emergency
Intercom Circuits Petroleum Stop Opera -
Power Panel for
Data Circuits
I
Power Circuits r li i d
e--- I Contactor or
Shunt Trip
Breaker
A contactor or shunt trip breaker is used to
disconnect power to the petroleum panel.
These methods do not disconnect dis-
penser power circuit conductors from the
ource ofsu I .514.11
Dispenser Wiring Disconnect TM Solution
disconnects dispenser data wiring for
compliance with NEC Article 514
Dispenser Forecourt Site Controls
x
This product is protected by U.S. Patent No. 8,030,803
Intercom System
11/
Dispenser Wiring
■It L0111 Disconnect T.
