Auig, 09 • 2007 13: 10 l 11STRE-CAL NAMEPLATE CORP 2[193701690 p. 4
Environmental Standard Procedure
Page 3
results in a total discharge of -- 75 gallons each time the tank is changed. The
operator responsible for discharging the rinse solution must take care to routinely
monitor the T5 pH controller outside to verify that the final pH discharge is between
6-10 and then record the estimate discharge along with all additional necessary on
the Waste Water Treatment Log.
3.2.6. Etch Tank -- the etch tank is routinely manually discharged twice per week (usually
every Wednesday and Friday afternoon) into the U1 T1 collection tank via a floor
drain located near the south east corner of the Etch room. At the end of the day the
drain valve is partially opened draining the solution slowly into the On-Site treatment
system for eventual pH adjustment. The tank is then washed and drained again
with approximately 5 gallons of additional water. This results in a total discharge of
— 75 gallons each time the tank is changed. The operator responsible for
discharging the rinse solution must take care to routinely monitor the T5 pH
controller outside to verify that the final pH discharge is between 6-10 and then
record the estimate discharge along with all additional necessary on the Waste
Water Treatment Log.
3.3. Monitoring Procedure
STEP 1.
Identify the waste and estimate the volume to be discharged.
STEP 2.
Use a copy of the log sheet provided and place an entry under the appropriate column
heading for each waste stream. Each entry must include the date, ID of the associate
placing the entry, and the numerical amount discharged in terms of gallons. A soft copy of
the log is contained in folder psi2-m on Psi2000IWaste Water Treatment Log
STEP 3.
At the end of each week and month the designated associate, Kelly Blansett or an
appointee when she is out, will tally the totals. The maximum batch amount must not
exceed 500 gal and the monthly total must not exceed 5,000 gal. The designated
associate also will keep a printed hardcopy log of the monthly totaled discharges.
