Stockton Delta Water Supply Project WTP
Well Demolition and Sanitary System Approval
August 20,2010 Page 2
Irrigation Well
This is an old 12"well believed to have been used for irrigation. We have not found logs or other records of
this well. It has been measured to be 97 feet deep below the existing ground surface.
Domestic Well
This is an old 6"well believed to have been used for domestic water supply for an old farm house that used to
exist at the site. We have not found logs or other records of this well. It has been measured to be 165 feet
deep below the existing ground surface.
Sanitary System, Septic Tank and Leachfield
An on-site septic tank and leachfield system is being provided to handle standard sanitary waste streams from
the WTP buildings. These standard waste streams from the Administration/Operations Building,
Maintenance Shop, and Membrane Filtration Building drain by gravity to the wetwell of the Sanitary Sewer
Lift Station. The wastewater is then pumped through a 4-inch force main to the septic tanks. Floor drains in
the Ozone Building drain by gravity to a sump in the building;wastewater is then pumped through a 2-inch
force main to the septic tanks. The table below provides an inventory of all waste stream sources at the WTP
that are being directed to the septic tank and leachfield system.
Wastewater•
urces
Ozone Building Floor drains may occasionally collect potable water
drained from equipment, otherwise only occasional
washdown water. There are no sinks, toilets, or
other sanitary sources in this building.
Maintenance Shop Hand Sink Floor drains are routed through an oil/water
Mop Sink separator before draining to the Sanitary Sewer Lift
Toilet Station in case of any incidental drips or spills.
Floor Drains
embrane Filtration Floor Drains Air compressor is oil-free type; condensate volume
ilding Oil-free Air is small. Floor drains are expected to collect only
Compressor occasional washdown water.
Condensate
Administration/ Drinking Fountains Boiler condensate drain is routed through a
Operations Building Floor Drains standard neutralization tank.
Hand Sinks Lab sink is also routed through a neutralization tank
Mop Sink to cover the possibility of accidental disposal of
Toilets small amounts of laboratory reagents.
Showers
Kitchen Sink
Dishwasher
Boiler Condensate
Lab sink
CDMA
