r
CHRONOLOGY
JC Trucking
9207 Aurora Street
Stockton, CA 95206
05/04/92 Four underground storage tanks removed this date under San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (EHD) permit and inspection. Soil samples for
laboratory analysis were collected from beneath the tanks and from the soil
stockpile. Analytical results were positive for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH)
as gasoline and diesel, benzene, toluene ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX).
08/18/92 Unauthorized Release Report #92-U82 and Notification of Hazardous Waste
Discharge #92-164 submitted this date.
03/07/94 EHD correspondence sent this date informing the responsible party that further
investigation of the contamination at the site is needed.
11/21/95 Site placed into the Local Oversight Program.
11/29/95 'Notice of Reimbursement' and 'Site Letter' sent this date to John Cervantes.
07/22/97 'Letter of Commitment' issued this date by the State Water Resources Control
Board Cleanup Fund.
08/18/97 Geoprobe soil borings, B-1 thru B-9, were advanced beginning this date. Soil and
grab groundwater samples were collected for laboratory analysis; see
'Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report' dated January 5, 1998,
submitted by Aqua Geosciences, Inc. Analytical results from the investigation
indicated the groundwater was impacted with petroleum hydrocarbons, and that
the plume was not defined.
03/23/99 Six shallow groundwater monitoring wells, MW-1 thru MW-6, and one pilot boring
B-1, advanced to approximately 70-feet below surface grade (bsg), were installed
beginning this date; see 'Site Assessment Report' dated July 12, 1999, submitted
by JJW Geosciences (JJW).
04/30/99 Routine quarterly groundwater monitoring and reporting was initiated this date.
08/30/99 Two depth-discrete monitoring wells, MW-7 & MW-8 were installed this date to
total depth 110 feet bsg; see 'Groundwater Monitoring Well Installation Report'
dated November 30, 1999, submitted by JJW. Groundwater samples from both
wells have contamination; MW-7 appears to be compromised with grout.
04/06/01 Work began this date to install six Strata Probe soil borings, WSP-1 through
WSP-6; two soil borings with simulprobe water samples, SB-2 and MW-11; two
shallow groundwater monitoring wells (MW-9 and MW-10), two deep
groundwater monitoring wells, MW-11 and MW-12; and destruction and
replacement of MW-7. See "Site Assessment Report" dated November 14, 2001
submitted by JJW.
