O'Hair Site <br /> 1102 South Aurora Street, Stockton, San Joaquin County, California <br /> Apex Project#: REX01.001 <br /> Dear Mr. Hartzell: <br /> Apex Envirotech, Inc. has been authorized by Rexel Canada, Inc. (Rexel) to prepare this letter of <br /> clarification in regards to the responsible party and the new environmental consulting firm for the <br /> above mentioned site, in response to your facsimile, dated November 13, 2001. Apex was <br /> contracted by Rexel on November 30, 2001, to address all environmental issues relating to this <br /> site. Apex is currently preparing the Workplan to delineate the vertical and lateral extent of soil <br /> and groundwater contamination at the subject site, as requested in your letter, dated September <br /> 20, 2001. The Workplan will be submitted on or before December 21, 2001. <br /> The infformation that Apex has acquired from Rexel, concerning the responsibility of the <br /> contamination at the subject property is as follows: <br /> • P.E. O'Hair no longer exists as a company. <br /> • P.E. O'Hair became Westbum Supply, Inc., owned by Rexel Canada, Inc. <br /> • Rexel sold Westburn Supply, Inc. to Furguson Enterprises,Inc. on July 1, 2001. <br /> • The sale agreement specified that Rexel would remain responsible for any <br /> environmental issues and/or liabilities pertaining to the site. <br />
